Simon Segwabe
A qualified aircraft mechanic by profession and transformation agent, he understands this as a key factor for success and supports the inclusion of young blood and skills transfer in the industry. He has made a name for himself in local (South Africa) and international South Africa where he is mostly remembered for accomplishing several things in the aviation sector.
Furthermore, he was directly involved in the SACAA restructuring process as an Executive responsible for Aviation Safety Operations. Represented South Africa and Africa at ICAO working groups and Assembly giving a great understanding of the aviation safety compliance. Simon was involved in the discussions development of international Standards and Recommended Practices for adoption and implementation by States. He brings a wealth of experience gained from exposure and years of practical work in the local, as well as the international aviation industry. Enjoys strong relationships with various state institutions, international and companies as well as large media houses.
He advocates for the development and progress of previously disadvantaged people and their economic welfare.
